What you ask us most
Is it safe? What happens with my data?
Your genomic data is stored encrypted (AES-256) on servers located in the European Union and is never sold or transferred to third parties. We strictly comply with GDPR. You can request the complete deletion of your information at any time.
Who can see my results?
Only you. GenePortal requires two-factor authentication and all access is audited. You can share PDF reports with your physician whenever you consider it appropriate, but no one else has access to your data.
How long does the report take to arrive?
The usual turnaround is 4 weeks from sample receipt. This includes sequencing, bioinformatics analysis, clinical interpretation and report generation.
Do I need a doctor to order it?
No. The personal genome test can be ordered directly. If clinically relevant findings appear, we offer genetic counselling included in the price and a signed report you can bring to your physician.
Can I integrate the results with other apps?
Yes. GenePortal lets you export your annotated VCF for use with third-party platforms, and provides a documented REST API for professional integrations.
What happens if something clinically important appears?
Actionable incidental findings (ACMG-SF v3.2 list) are communicated with a specific report signed by a clinical geneticist, and we offer a genetic counselling session at no extra cost.
